Timeouts in Admin

Ok, pretty sure I need to adjust either mysql or php but I am getting 'page cannot be displayed errors' in several places in my admin screens.

The first is when you log into the admin, the index page will never display. The second is when using or even trying to view certain categories in the Bulk actions.

Any suggested tweaks for this? I am sure its because of the number of pics I have.

HMM

Any notes in your server error logs?

You can edit adm-misc.php and add the line in bold

HMM no errors in the error log at all?

Thats a tough one if there is nothing to go on.

Okay try in adm-misc.php commenting out this code or temporarily removing it

Ok, so-so news! I can get into the admin index now, it pops right up. Thats with the fix from the post above. However I still cannot get into the bulk options menu at all.

You mean the apache error_log correct? Yup no PP errors in there. A few others I got to look at but none for PP.

And now that I can see my admin index I now realize that I need to upgrade aswell

Okay so we know that your directory size is probally so large that we can not stat it. Your script simply times out.

You can try setting this in adm-misc.php where the other edit was noted

ini_set("max_execution_time", 0);

That would prevent the script from timing out but can not say how long it would take to load.

Well that will get me in atleast one level but after that it still timeouts on any category I try to enter

Okay so are you in bulk move or approval?

Bulk Move only brings up two cat boxes you pick two cats and hit submit

Is this what your doing?

With 400,000 images there may need to be special tweaks your site needs

I dont honestly use it that much, my mods are the ones busting my balls

When you enter the admin, I go to "Bulk Actions" then once I select a drop down choice to view images in a different cat it fails.

I have had some perf issues but I know you guys have been working hard on PP. The large amount of images means I have had to turn off all of the Gallery home cool stuff but its worth it. If you need any admin access just pm and I will send it to you, np.

Okay so your not in bulk move

Your in approve images section

Do you have BOTH ini_set lines at the top of adm-misc.php now?
