| 5.5 - Random Images "More" Not Working?
I click "more" and nothing happens: http://photos.sirstevesguide.com/index.php
And shouldn't that read "Refresh" or "Reload" rather than "more"?

Obviously, I prefer "more".
I'll have to do some testing on the other.

I notice if the sidebar random image is turned on then the more will work but it distorts the window size when viewing. |

Ok chuck maybe I can explain how I got the more link to work that is showing in SteveSteves attached image.
In admin cp under edit settings go to sidebar settings and turn on Random Image pal.
In Index options turn on Show Random Images on index page.
Now that more link will work but it shows the more images under the sidebar random pal instead of under the index random images where it should show them.
Hope this makes sense to you. |

Okay well it never worked where you want it to my knowledge. It has always been the sidebar and undercats bar that does this when Michael gave me a copy to play with because it requires a different call than normal to work

The showframe script is not coded to allow the different blocks currently to do MORE. It is coded for the random pal only being localized to $q_switch of random and the rows and photos is 6 photos 1 row or if undercats it is 2 and 2
Maybe in Photopost 6 the ajax will be more feature rich

Looks like you have saved Michael some work of more testing as he stated above he would need to do.
Maybe in new upgrade it will work as its suppose to work.... |

Yeah when I saw your post I took a look at how he has it coded and it was basically written for the sidebar and undercats pals.
There are several things in this version he can expand upon the functionality now that we have ajax

| Recent Photos are not updating
#1. Recent Photos are not updating... it is still showing the uploads before the update to 5.5 and there has been 30+ photos uploaded. Anyone know why it is not showing the new uploads?
And Statistics do not work on Gallery/index.php but do work on Gallery/showgallery.php?
#2. How do I set the ...Uniform thumbnails - cropping of thumbnails so that they all appear uniformly?
#3. I have seen the Featured Photos on ViperAlley... is this something new, is there a way to set up Featured Photos?
Thanks

Make sure you have ran all upgrades applicable and uploaded all new files.
You can try turning off the catcache in global options viewing your index and then turn it back on.
Uniform cropping was removed so you should redownload the build
featured photos? what do you mean

What files do we need to reupload to take care of the Uniform cropping problem.
I uploaded the image_inc.php and a member got errors when uploading and the thumbnail did not show for his picture. This was today.
I put old image_inc.php back and run rebuild thumbnails and it now shows the thumbnail. old I mean like couple days ago when I first downloaded the new upgrade files for 5.5.

Chuck,
Yes, that fixed the problem Recent Photos & Statistics, Thanks!
Minutes to cache index page data for featured photos, statistics and PAL... 0
Use category cache... no
Use photo view caching... no Uniform cropping was removed so you should redownload the build, I guessing that It was added to a recent build, ok... I will redownload. RE: "featured photos? what do you mean"
It could be special photos or something that meets special requirements or user voted the best etc. I just saw it on ViperAlley - Featured Photos and was wondering if it was something new that was added?
Thanks!
J

In regards to the more button not working...it actually does work, however, check this out: http://www.dieselpowered.net/gallery/index.php
If you click "MORE" on the Random Images (the horizontal one, not the sidebar) you will see why it is throwing off your page. The sidebar Random Images turns horizontal. Why does it do that?
Thanks!

I've noticed it does work...but at times if you on another page (if you have the sidebar shown globally) it may not... dunno why, a refresh doesnt fix it... but 8/10 times it works ok...just a click back to the index and it's working again

ah good one I think it was an oversight for the random photo block on showgallery but can pass that on to Michael. The pputils script doesnt load on showgallery
In pp-inc.php add in bold Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

I just upgrade my PP to 5.5 with the last build. I Notice the 'more' (german: mehr) link too. It appears in the random picture box (working) and near the thumb images (on top of the viewing photos) while watching photos (not working). Example: http://www.dragonclan-forum.de/photo...oto/45/cat/512
The 'more' link contains: javascript :sendPhotoReq('48','512','45','','','','');
In IE6 this cause a yellow warning in the browser stats bar, in FF nothing happen.
The random box now show 6 pictures by default. How do I change it back to 1 Picture ?
