Update username...

I have a user that had their name changed... and the updated name is not reflected... i tried to run the maintenance program... still no change...

The scan database resync photo and comment usernames should work for you.

Is this what you tried? what url and link to example user on photopost

The user 2DeBone has had his name changed in VB... i ran the "scan database resync photo and comment usernames" for a specific category with no luck...

His images are in the recent photo plugin at the bottom... Here are the USERID links according to the gallery and forum

Well we pull the username field to display there name. Are you allowing some kind of custom name? That we do not pull. If they truly change there username then the resync will work.

nope... no custom display names... I went into the ADMINCP and changed the name.... he posts with no problems...

I really have to revisit this upgrade with a fine tooth and comb again... every since i update to vb3.6... problems have come up with the gallery... i still have those cookie problems... and i know you guys tried to help but users are still complaining... but that's another issue...

Hmm... any suggestions for the name problem...

are you using a vb3.6 compatible photopost version?

oh yeah... for sure... i have 5.3 installed... and i have the following settings:

define(VB3_INTEGRATION, 'on');
define(VB3_ENHANCEDINT, 'on');
define(VB3_COMMWYSIWYG, 'off');

at this point ... i am thinking a re-install

well see the problem I see if make sure your integrating with the right vb database.

See photo names or updating them has nothing to do with this

Clearly the vbulletin database this photopost is integrating with is pulling the username right from the username field of the user table from vbulletin.

Thus the problem I see is you possibly have two different vb database tables and your integrating with the wrong one.

I am honestly tinking the same thing... i have a test environment and i will disable that site and check again... although, all my paths seem fine...

I would just check the database info in config-inc.php to see your connecting to the right database and the right table prefix in forum settings in admin as you might have two installs
