Recent Photos Query fails on specific subcategory...

All my other "recent photos" get displayed properly without a prob... except for when I am in a specific subcategory that has further sub-cats...

I have upgraded to 5.31 with vanilla everything and I had my single PAL removed... and i still got the error... the only workaround is if i disable the layout option of Show recent photos in default location (bottom)? (if no, will display at top)

Here's the error that displays when i am in debug mode... which looks like a typo cuz of the ',' at the end...

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
I have another prob about not seeing all my categories... but i will post someting else...

I will email me login details...

Url where this problem exists? The issue looking at the query is an extra comma now looking at the code it is this

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
The comma is added at the beginning noting there should be a category id after the comma so what is the children field set to for that category in your categories table?

URL with problem: http://www.islandmix.com/gallery/sho...y.php?cat=3157

Here are all the children values for this category in the DB... which have the trailing comma

'3161,3217,3221,3234,3237,3238,3239,3245,3246,3216,3218,3215,3210,3201,3202,3203,
3204,3209,3200,3206,3207,3196,3236,3198,3199,3185,3186,3191,3192,3193,3195,3183,3184,
3188,3189,3181,3182,3187,3179,3175,3177,3174,3166,3171,3172,3164,3173,3176,3180,3213,3240,'

Mind you... i have to log another bug about missing 4 categories in the above children list... for example... 3160 doesn't even display in the gallery or isn't listed above... but its there... do you think i just have to much subcategories? Is there a limit? I read that ppl can have hundreds...

there is your issue though there is a trailing slash after 3240

Try visiting your category editor and hit save to reload children and see if the issue goes away

You're right... but once i manually removed it from the db... the error disappeared... the save didn't work but I think i found the answer to my other problem (subcatgories not showing) as well....

The field "children" is varchar(255)... I have exceeded that... Can i just increase the column width?

I am assuming if i increase it... and then save... all my children category ids will be properly populated? Pls advise...

However... Can you guys increase this in a future release?

just an update: I removed one categoryid and added one that was missing... and it now appears in my gallery listing on the page

well why is your children field a varchar field? It has always been a text field since Photopost 3.11 when it was added. You can change it to a text field as it should be using phpmyadmin
