[VB-Integration] post counter

Hi,

I am newby of this great Photopost, so pls be patient.

I apologize also for my bad and rusted english.

Ok now I try to explain
I installed in this order:
+ vB360 brand new installation
+ vbadvancedcmps220
+ Visionscript hacks
+ vBPlaza
+ PhotoPost531
+....installing others but not yet done

Installing photopost wasent so intuitive. as by default it automatically proposed me wrong path to my installation.

But once solved, the process was smooth and completed.

The board in question, is totally empty just 1 user (me) and 0 post. Suppose a fresh installed vbulletin forum.
I uploaded 2 pics to verify my installation and everityng was fine. I noticed viewing at my profile that :

Posts
Total Posts: 2 (2 posts per day)

Find all posts by winky
Find all threads started by winky

Clicking on any of those vB links it will display "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms."

Wouldn't be better to increment that value not in post counter but in a specific counter dedicated to photos? Would be possible to have the management of that counter similar to the post one? (for searching & for reputation ....)

after few hours ....I wrote 1 real post the first.

now the total on post counter come back to the correct value.


I guess then a minor bug is there but posts are connected to pictures?

There is no bug here. Your talking about vbulletin posts. You have set in your photopost admin side to increment a users post count and thus it will. vbulletin does not know search photopost hense you will find no results in vbulletin if you never posted a thread

..hmm yes I did not see that option, sure I'll set it up. and excuse me.

In any case in admin panel, with maintenance tool you reset posts count, it will eliminate them and not recount as posted. So if you enable counting the insertion of photos like posts, then you should know that wont be calculated in that case.
