Post Problem with vbTemplates?

Hi,

it seems like some style-var's don't get replaced correctly when using vbintegrated templates.

e.g.

<td class="{$Style['menubarnb']}">

results in

<td class=""> when rendered. wich makes my site go crazy (showing font in same color then background.

These applies to some more really unuseful places - green text (links) on blue background and some stuff.

As it all works fine in VB i think there's a little problem with the gallery. Probably i need to add some more styles to vb?

Thanks,
Frank

menubarnb only is called within a cell that is already set to tcat so it should be an empty class cause if we set it to tcat as well then you would have double gradient calls on class's with background images. Your empty cell should follow the already called tcat parent class of the table cell

it does on every vb system I see example here

here is the menubar template on this very photopost gallery here you look at
and notice in bold how the td is already set to tcat so the empty style classes in the table for menubar make no difference since style class is always going to fall back on the td it is in if nothing else is defined.

Technically this is not a bug but an issue with your specific stylesheet using the same color for the tcat as the main site text. I can tell you how to correct it though

In indexhead.tmpl

<span>&nbsp;$childnav</span>

to

<span class="{$Style['medium']}">&nbsp;$childnav</span>

Well You need to alter it however you want. medium is rewrote to the vb3 normal class. Use something that works for your specific stylesheet. I dont remember all your class calls but I do remember you had your body text set to the same color as the tcat class.
