Intermittent Comment Posting Permission(NOT A BUG)

Please see below, I have 2 members who are intermittently unable to post comments, please see their email messages to me explaining what is happening. One has posted 20 comments already and the other has managed to post 4 comments, but at times they get the error messages below. Any idea of what might be happening? It seems as all of my other 100 or so members are not having any problems with this (I have over 250 posted member comments in the last month). Thanx in advance for your help. Regards, Stu

Message 1:Sometimes when I try to post a comment I get:

Sorry, you don't have permission to post/edit.

If you tried to edit, you might not be the post's author or editing may
be disabled for your usergroup

Message 2:I checked once more and found that I can make comments by all entrees except those by Watcher (his own pictures, I can comment on the ones of Jrood he has lightened up) , Wetangel and DG Spotman.
With the entrees I cannot comment on, the part at the bottom, with the capture: 'Add your comments', is missing, and when I try to add a comment by the link just on the right above the already made comments, I get the same error as Wetnut gets.
I hope this information helps!

I would think that they have stumbled to a category they do not have permission to post.

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Do they belong to another usergroup than the other users? If so have you verified your category permissions for the rights you want set per usergroup.

Basically they are going to see that message if they do not have permission to post in that category

The permissions all seem to be in order, the people who are having issues are in the same "registered usergroup as everyone else. It looks as if the problem lies in only certain people who are unable to post comments to pictures which were posted without creating an album first. Another words they just posted the pics (after clicking "upload photos") to their name. All other photos on my site are in albums and no one has any problems posting comments to those. Any ideas what might be the problem?

I would suggest rechecking your permissions. Album permissions are the same as the member gallery permissions. Make sure this member is not part of some special group you have not imported into photopost yet if your using an external forum integration.

if ( ($CatPerms['ugpost'][$thiscat] == 1 && $CatPerms['ugvote'][$thiscat] == 1) || $User['comments'] == 0 ) {
diewell( $Globals['pp_lang']['nopostedit'] );
}

Basically in usergroup permissions if the group has no posting priviledge COMMENTS NO or in edit categories no posting or voting priviledges they will get this message. It is the only way they can get this message.

Note ask them if they are really logged in. Some user's don't allow cookies on there computer and this will cause an issue.
