Need to Clear announcement Title Box

I use the announcement title box as the signature for my site. I attempted to change the color of the font with HTML (yes now I know that HTML is only good in the contents on the announcement box and not the Title). Now on the Admin Index Options page my Title for the announcement box is empty, but outside of the box (Stu's is to the right of the box and the remainder of the text is below it it looks like this: STU'S PIC PLACE **Hosted By Stu & The Walrus" name="196" class="bginput"> while on the home page of my site the text has changed to my desired Blue color but it looks like this:
">STU'S PIC PLACE **Hosted By Stu & The Walrus. How can I clear out the title box so I can start over or how can I remove the "> from in front of the Stu's Pic Place text on my homepage? At present no matter what I type in the box and save, it doesn't show on the homepage or in the title box when I go back to Index options. Thanx Stu

You would need to go into your control panel for your site and use phpmyadmin to view the settings table and entries 196-197 you would need to manually clear the html

Finally found phpmyadmin under My SQL databases. Back in business. Thanx much. Stu
