Why can't you sort the images by image name and not by filename? Thanks

In Admin => Edit Categories you can set the default sort to Alphabetical

well if your talking the quick sort in showgallery title is not an option there but you can add it

in showgallery.php find this and add the line in bold

Then in showgallery.tmpl
