database backup is weird

When i do a backup all tables, it creates them but they're all 153 bytes. Here is an example of what's inside.

-- MySQL dump 9.10
--
-- Host: localhost Database: photopostadmingroups
-- ------------------------------------------------------
-- Server version 4.0.17

and that's it. It says it runs the command:

/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysqldump --opt -h localhost -uusername -ppassword photopost

directory is writeable.

I can not explain that. Now my server did not like the -h command but likes --host so I ran this command and it works via putty just fine. However yes through the program my database backups are the same as yours.

/usr/bin/mysqldump --opt --host=$host -u$mysql_user -p$mysql_password database table > /var/www/backups/table.sql

This does seem to be related to MYSQL 4 so I will do some searching and see if I come up with anything. This works fine with MYSQL 3

I'm running MySQL 4.0.17.

when i'm in putty, i usually back up things manually using
mysql -u username -p photopost > photopost.sql

That just makes one file though. I never really used the backup thingy on the webpage, just thought I'd give it a whirl.

I experienced the same issue when trying to use the backup feature in photopost. Is this going to be corrected for use with mysql 4?

Thanks for your time.

Well Honestly I could not say what the issue is. If I take the same command we use and use it in a SSH window connection to the server it works fine so I dont see what we can change or really what the issue is. It works it just doesnt out put any data
