Photos and comment Stats Don't report unregistered uploads and comments

....
updated

OK actually I see the problem. The problem is that the category I want to track registered uploaded images and the other cat that tracks unregistered images, is that the unregistered user is considered a user so that user is placed in the members gallery and the images are tracked, counted, etc. So the cat that is suppose to just show how many images and comments for the registered users actually shows the image count and comment count for both the registered users and unregistered user categories. Since "unregistered" really isn't a "member", wouldn't this be considered a bug? After all, the category is defaulty called "Members Galleries" yet unregistered is exactly the opposite of being a member.

So the members cat shows 21 images uploaded and the unregistered cat shows 5 images uploaded. So there aren't 26 images on the site, there are 21 total because that cat is counting the unregistered images as well.

I assume this is a problem.

No this would not be a bug. Since unregistered uploads are allowed there userid is 0 and they are tracked and shown as unregistered instead of say userid 45 Johnny Doe.

I tried to fix this by hiding the regular members gallery from showing on index. Then I created a new gallery called the same and made it's description the ablum index link under the member gallery category link. That way both thumbnails for each cat (the member cat and the unregged cat) show the right image. Before it was showing the same image for both cats since the unregged user was part of the members gallery.

I then set the admin setting for this new members gallery to show its gallery like a members gallery organizing images by user. It all seemed to be working fine until I noticed that when you click the "new member gallery links" it doesn't show their albums above their images.

Do you know of any work around?

I guess mine was an extensive work around. Really is all I want is so that unregistered users that upload images, their latest image doesn't become the "cover" or image shown as the most recent image uploaded in the members gallery. Is there anyway I can get Photopost to exclude the user "unregistered" from making that users latest image uploaded the "cover image" of the members gallery category? (I'm using the other category layout option. Not the forum look layout, but the other one that shows them in blocks instead of rows.)

Unregistered uploads are valid uploads just like any other picture. The view your using shows the latest uploaded image

OK well I guess this has sorta evolved into more of a modding question. Maybe this would be best asked in an email to you, but since the thread kinda contains the idea of what I want I will ask and you can say whether you want it in an email or not.

What would you charge to make a modification would hide the latest image uploaded in the members gallery if that image was uploaded by the member "unregistered"? I want the members gallery to show the latest uploaded image of all users EXCEPT the user "Unregistered". If you want me to email you, please post your email address again as I don't think I have it any more.

Thank you.

Okay but we don't run a hack site here this is the photopost company site. We do not support hacking.

Your asking how to hack photopost code in the company bug forum. Hense I sent you there but alas Michael has closed it down once again. It was open the other day
