Exclamation 5.2 : Categories missing in dropdown

Hi,

Since I upgraded to PP5.2, I have some subcategories that are no more listed in dropdowns of the following pages : upload an image, admin bulk actions, admin edit categorie...
Have a look to this dropdown screenshot and compare it to my categories.

Categories in red are missing :
>Dessins | Drawings
>>Hors concours | Out contest
>>Concours archivés | Archived contests
>>>18 subcats
>>Concours en cours | Current contests
>>>2 subcats
>>Prochains concours | Next contests

Thanks for your help

Hm... It appears that the missing categories are categories where I have unchecked the "upload" right for every groups.
So it's normal that it dont appear on the "upload an image" page. But it should appear in dropdowns for "Bulk actions" and "Edit categorie" !

No news about this bug...
Categories where the upload right is disabled are not listed in "bulk actions", "Order Images", "Bulk Move" or "Edit categorie" dropdowns.

Sorry your thread got buried that happens sometimes

Hello to my knowledge this is how that function works. If you do not have access to upload to those categories you do not have access to move images to them etc so this would not be a bug.

I would never suggest unchecking admin from anything unless of course you want to limit access such as your finding here.

Thanks for your answer ^_^
Sure it's not a good idea to uncheck admin upload right for categories... I just unchecked it on some archived drawing contests where I didnt upload more pics.
But now, if I have to reorganise my galeries (Bulk Move, or create new subcats of archived categories), I must first give again the upload right on those categories.
It's a bit confusing...

You could change line 1700 in pp-inc.php from:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
to:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
and then the Admin would see anything.
