| Private or not? I think not.(NOT A BUG)
In this latest build 5.2
When member creates an album in the "My Albums" section they are given the option to make it private or not...
When an album is created as private and photos added to that album. A thumbnail of the latest photo is still showing in the "Member Galleries" section off the main or home section of a site...
----
I would like to suggest that a generic image is added to private albums that says "Private Album" and not the lasted image a person just uploaded.
I do like that fact that the album is listed in the Member Galleries but private is private and no thumbs should be displayed.
Also how about an optional email link or better yet link to an email form so people can ask the private album owner for access?
Thank You

Also when a user enters a private album they are sent to the same page that someone is sent to if there are no photos in a catogory.. They should be sent to a page that says this is a private album.
And maybe a form to ask for access?

If you have permission to view the image it will show on there. If you do not have permission it won't show
I just tested it
If someone enters a private album and they do not have permission to be there they are asked for a password.
This forum requires a password for access!

If you are an Admin, you wont need to provide a password.

I know I still do not get prompted for a password when I am a standard user.
All I get is "This category does not contain any images."

Okay just asking cause I surely can't get what you say when I test these steps out.
If I create a personal album and make it private I am allowed to see it as long as I am cookied. If I am not cookied I get the password box if the password is not in the url. Remember if your visiting the album with the password in the url of course your going to gain access. Try just going to the category without the password part |

I did I go in with no cookies and no password link. Just as a standard user and all I get when I try to enter a private album is that standard page that states "This category does not contain any images." No login or password prompt of any kind.

You have a cookie on your computer called catp. The logout link does not clear that. If that cookie is not present and you enter a private category or album you get the password enter box

All I am saying is when your logged in as a user that has access that cookie catp is created. If you logout that cookie is not cleared off the computer your using so essentially you still have access and as such will not see the password box. Try another browser on the same site like Mozilla |
