Several error messages

Hi, many of our members are receiving error messages when managing their albums. sometimes the action is completed and sometimes it isn't. Most cannot move their photos from category to category. they have posted these error messages. Can you give me an idea on this?
The odd thing is other members report no problems at all.

Hello looking at that error it is one category and it seems to not be set to 777. Thus you need to ftp to your server and change the permissions on the directory to 777 and its children to 777 so users can upload to that directory

The folder permissions of the data file and uploads file is set to 777 are there any directories that call for the 777 setting?

also in clearing my admin log, although it does clear I get this error message first:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare dirsize() (previously declared in /home/scrapbo1/public_html/adm-main.php:17) in /home/scrapbo1/public_html/adm-inc.php on line 689

is this a permissions issue as well?

You have files from different versions of photopost installed it would seem. Make sure you are using all new files.

I would think so just redownload the distribution and upload the files except the config files

I have reloaded all the files except the two config files which has solved a great deal of the problems. However, now when I upload a photo, I get this error message flashed on screen for a moment before the upload takes place successfully.

warning: move_uploaded_file () moved: 'var/temp/phpJMP0fm to home/scrapbo1/public_html/uploads/disney.jpg in home/scrapbo1/public_html/image_inc.php on line 37

Is there something I have missed?

Double check that the uploads and data directories as well as there children directories are set to 777 permissions. That error would suggest this is not the case.

Data and uploads directories as well as their children are set to 777. There are some files in the children of the children set to 644. these appear to be the actual jpg. files as well as the files contained within each medium, mini and thumbs folder within each group of files in the data directory. should these be all set to 777 as well?

No the images can be set to 644 or 666

Now the only thing I would ask here about this error is this

warning: move_uploaded_file () moved: 'var/temp/phpJMP0fm to home/scrapbo1/public_html/uploads/disney.jpg in

Why is there not a userid on this upload directory? Our script uploads a file to the uploads directory /USERID/FILENAME

Note the error above has no user directory. Just make sure all the proper files are uploaded and the permissions on everything is set per the install instructions here

I don't know why there is no userid.. and I've double checked that all the proper files are there. At any rate the install was by the photopost team (order date 05/16/05 order # techimo 8328) I suppose I have gummed it up somehow....everything functions perfectly other then this.

Well I see your install your allowed image types are empty

Usually in Admin => Upload Photo Options you would see something like this

.jpg,.jpeg,.png,.gif

They are not there if I view the uploadphoto page its all empty.

Best thing you can do at this point is to get 5.3 and upload ALL files except the config files ( and header footer htm files and if you modified a stylsheet)

run upgrade.php and select the applicable ones.

You would upload everything except the two config files and in your case since your using an internal photopost this

If you modified a stylesheet and the header footer then you might not want to upload that stylesheet again and you might want to also not upload header.htm or footer.htm

Warning: mysql_query(): Unable to save result set in /home/scrapbo1/public_html/pp-inc.php on line 154

Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/scrapbo1/public_html/forums/photopost.php on line 52

two new error messages now permanently displayed on the main page....

Guess I will put in that order for 5.3 (sigh)

Did you run your upgrades? If you have mysql errors it would appear not.

Upgrade instructions are located in the documentation folder of the download.
