Consequences of "Fixed" in the titles?

Hi

I more and more see in the title of a bug report the term "fixed". Obviously I know what this means, but I would like to have an explanation on what is the consequence of this for the costumers.

When I download i.e. a PP version 513 on August 1st and another one on August 22nd, both download files have the same date stamp in the member download area. But when I unpack them on my computer, the last modified date of the second one is August 17th. So simething must have changed in the files.

I would like to know, how we as a user can track, which bugs are fixed IN THE DOWNLOAD FILE, that is available when I see the term "fixed" in the bug section.

I thought first, when "fixed" appears, this fix will be at the same time already included in the download file in the same minute. But since the date stamp in the download area is weeks old, this can not be true and this leads to total confusion.

Can anybody explain the way how you do this?

Thanks in advance

Hello

Fixed means the fix has been provided in the thread and bug fix submitted to the developer. He in turn updates the build so future customers do not get affected by these bugs. This does not necessarily mean the date on the members area is updated

Once we get enough bugfixes reported we issue a announcement and release of a minor release as in 5.14 which should be out anyday

FIXED or NOT A BUG is for your sanity as well as ours to keep on top of things.

Hi

I would strobgly recommend, that in this case, each time the download file was changed, that the download file gets also the date stamp of that change.

This is the only way for us to check, whether we have "really" the latest up-to-date files. It is not very efficient, ifg thousands of your costumers have to downloadd the file and unpack it, just to check whether some files changed.

As you can see in my example above, I realized this by accident. Because of this, I might waste your time, because I report a behaviors of my files, that are already outdated.

So the correct time stamp (date & time of the very last modified file that is included in the download zip file) in the member area saves you and us a lot of time - and hassle
