Thumbs down "I cannot see your phpBB2 "phpbb_groups" table."(NOT A BUG)

Hi -

Our installation of PhotoPost was working fine until our web hosting provider put PHP into safe mode. I didn't realize it at the time (and they didn't say anything), but it looked like PhotoPost had become corrupted, so I tried to reinstall it. We had it integrated with phpBB2.

After overcoming the initial problems with permissions (the files that the installation script creates apparently have a different owner than the files that I uploaded).

I have been able to get almost all the way through the installation process, but once I hit the Configure PhotoPost button on the Step 4 page, here's what I get:

Error: Are you certain that your database prefix is set properly?
I cannot see your phpBB2 "phpbb_groups" table.

The prefix setting adds characters to the front of phpBB2 table names -
please doublecheck this.

I have checked and made sure that the forums database prefix tables are "phpbb_", and verified through the database manager that phpbb_groups exists.

Can anyone help, please? This is driving me nuts, and this is a key feature for my wife's business site.

Thanks!

Double check on the first step your mysql info is correct. make sure on the last step when it asks you prefix's you enter them correctly

However I will say with safe mode on photopost will not work

Thanks for the reply! I was afraid you'd say that about safe mode. I'm going to see if our web hosting provider can change that - apparently they had to change it to safe mode because of some security issue with Front Page (which I don't use, but we're on a shared server). Ugh.

Thanks again!
