Retrieve all images from a URL doesn't work soemtimes?(NOT A BUG)

When you do use the "Retrieve all images from a URL" and you type in a URL on some domains, I tested it with others and it worked fine, when I tested it with my own domains (same server) it didn't pull any images and it gave the images uploaded successfully redirect message, but it never pulled any image so there were no images uploaded, let alone it being successful. I don't know if there is something in the photopost code that won't allow it to pull images from the same server or not, but that's what I saw.

On a side note, I noticed that if you pull images from a website they go into that users upload directory. Is there anything that cleans out the users upload directories or will I need a cronjob or something?

Also, what about users knowing where the upload directory is and uploading images only half way and not actually confirming them to be fully uploaded, so they sit in their upload directory. Can't they then hotlink to any fullsize image they want if you don't have a .htaccess file somewhere in the upload directory?

I beleive Michael has touched on this many times in different threads.

The retreive from a url means just that and usually would be an html page. It will not parse images from a dynamic script and will not parse images if the img tags within the page are relative.

Images go into a users uploads page but once an image is processed and moved to data the uploads file is deleted.

On the third point Yes I suppose they could but thats why there is htaccess

So...

1. that field can only grab from html pages or are you just saing that it needs the img src code to grab images?

2. When you say that's why there's htaccess are you saying that photopost does protect the uploads directory with htaccess or just that it's possible with htaccess?

If not, how should my htaccess file look that I put into my upload folder?
