5.13 EMERGENCY! Upload and Missing Cats!(NOT A BUG)

I click upload from a specific category, the drop-down box should have that category already selected but it does not.

When I try to find my categories manually in the drop-down I just added, they are not even there!

I have checked my installs and test site and if I navigate to a category (showgallery script) that cat is passed to uploadphoto through the request and the selected category is that which I was just viewing.

Works fine on mine, whichever category I am in, that's the one that shows in the upload dialogue. Also, all categories show up as they should from the drop down menu.
You sure you have posting permissions set for those categories, if not then they won't be available.

Something has gone wrong somewhere... I'll check the database for corruption then...

There is definitely a problem...... no db corruption detected. If I add a category in any other section but "Events", it does not show up in the drop-down. Can someone please take a look?

How about in edit cats you check your upload permissions for the category. This would be my thoughts on this. It will not appear on the cat list if you dont have permission to upload to that category.

Thanks Chuck... I got it. It was indeed permissions. What is odd is that I have not changed any permissions and they suddenly were reverted... thanks though and sorry for the Emergency title in caps... we were covering a major show and I got worried!
