v5.1 Blank Space in Title(not a bug)

This may/may not be a bug but in previous versions, when you put a space in the title when uploading pictures, it would not display the "filename" as I don't want anything in that field. This no longer works likes this. If I put a space in, it still adds the filename...

I've brought this up before... usability. One would think if it is left empty, nothing would be added to it. Unless it states, "If left empty, filename will be added," it should not add the filename automatically.

I beleive Michael already explained this in another thread and even gave you a tweak to make on your end if you dont want this to happen. It would not be a bug

No, this is something different...

This may/may not be a bug but in previous versions, when you put a space in the title when uploading pictures, it would not display the "filename".

Well a space is nothing and registered as nothing without other data on that line I assume so if anything it would be a bug in previous versions.

and one would think if you have nothing in it, nothing would be returned but that's not how it works.

If you "Edit" the photo and add a space, it works as it did before...

Titles are an important aspect of PhotoPost; as Chuck indicated, we've offered you ways to customize your application to suit your specific needs, but the typical use of our product is to have a title of some sort for every image.

that's fine but is there no way of adding a checkbox that could be selected by default to add the filename and when not selected, it's blank?

There is a way, if you want to add one yourself. You can modify uploadphoto.php and the uploadphoto.tmpl files to add the option.

You could just add the html code to the tmpl file, then add the variable to the typecast and then add a check before the $title line of code I mentioned you could comment out before and you've got it.

Or you could try...

In pp-inc.php find:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
And beforehand add:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

Or you could just comment out that one line we pointed you to earlier.
