I can not stress enough. Please backup your database and files from your server before you start to upgrade the gallery.
| Upload:
In the script folder there are 2 folders.
- forums (upload to vBulletin root)
- gallery
The content of the forums folder is uploaded to the root of your vBulletin install. The file structure of the upload will coincide with the vBulletin folder layout.
The gallery folder must also stay in tact, but can be placed in many places.
EX:
1) http://www.domain.com <- vBulletin root http://www.domain.com/gallery http://gallery.domain.com
2) http://www.domain.com http://www.domain.com/forums <- vBulletin root http://www.domain.com/forums/gallery http://www.domain.com/gallery http://gallery.domain.com
You can also change the /gallery/ name. (EX: /photos/ )
- Ascii: php, js, html, css - anything that is a text file
- Binary: gif, jpg, png - any media file Upgrade:
Run the install script from your browser by going to: Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
[ x ] Upgrade.
This script will make all necessary changes to your database, templates, phrases, and settings.
Once you have finished please remove vbgallery_install.php, product-ppvbgallery.xml in the forums/admincp folder.

-- General Options - Can view profile tab (yes/no)
- Can view profile block (yes/no)
- Can change profile block settings (yes/no)
- Can view FORUMHOME block (yes/no)

Thanks. I had hoped that the gallery would have tighter integration with vBulletin by introducing this one, but you cant have it all...

Hi,
I`m a bit confused as I thought to have bought your premium product with Photo Post Pro and now vBGallery gets some features that Pro doesn`t have.
Your product page says: Quote: |
If you plan to install PhotoPost on a site with an existing vBulletin forum, you can choose to download and install either of our two PhotoPost versions and switch between the two at any time
| Does that mean I have to switch to vBGallery to get the new features or will they be added to the Pro version as well?
Thanks for shedding some light on this.
all the best,
Sacha

| Yes, where is this file? It's not in the "root/forum/includes/vbgallery" folder like it says above...
Is "member_profileblock_fetch_unwrapped.php" the file you are talking about? Should we rename this file to "block_fetch_unwrapped.php"? edit: I also cannot find "member_profile.php" located in "root/forum/includes/vbgallery".

Please help! I uploaded all of the files that I could but since in my last post above (#13) I mentioned that I cannot find member_profile.php and didn't know if I should rename the file member_profileblock_fetch_unwrapped.php, I haven't ran the install script. Because of this, since my last post roughly three hours ago, I have received 30 emails with Database Errors in my vbGallery |

block_fetch_unwrapped.php => member_profileblock_fetch_unwrapped.php
member_profile.php => profile_start.php

Ian | Same here, Whats up with better integration should we all convert? or wait for some sort of hack?
This is not good when Vbull makes there own gallery for each member and now I have two gallery's to begin with. I have been looking for a way to keep the pro and the Vbull tighter without posts in the two peaces of software. It splits my photo conversations to begin with. I'm sitting here wondering what way to go with this? Any input on this would be great!

vBGallery and Pro are 2 different gallery programs.
vBGallery must have vBulletin (only) as a backbone to operate.
Pro is a standalone gallery with a bridge that integrates vBulletin and other forums. (usergroups, users, styles/skins)

Zachariah, update to 2.4.3 went well, but I wonder if you would release an import script from vBGallery to the built in album system of 3.7 ? I know, you have to support VBGallery, but I have to ask.
Thanks
