I just finished running the install script using the Upgrade option. I clicked on UserCP and this is what I got: Quote:
Warning: require([path]/includes/vbgallery/usercp_nav_start.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in [path]/includes/functions_user.php(64) : eval()'d code on line 2
Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/forumst/public_html/includes/vbgallery/usercp_nav_start.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/forumst/public_html/includes/functions_user.php(64) : eval()'d code on line 2
| I uploaded usercp_nav_start.php and it works no problem.
However, I can't seem to find the option to add the Gallery tab to profiles. Could my other plugin (goldbrick media) which adds a tab as well possibly be conflicting with this? EDIT: I don't see any of the following options in my UserGroup Permissions for vbGallery: Quote: |
Gallery usergroup permissions: Can view profile tab (yes/no), Can view profile block (yes/no), Can change profile block settings (yes/no)
| I'm guessing that this is due to the fact that I didn't have usercp_nav_start.php uploaded when I ran the upgrade script? If so, if I reinstall, will this fix it and not change any of my current settings?

You add vB integration options to vBGallery that PP doesn`t have. As a board owner looking for the product with the best user experience it`s now not only comparing the features but also the ways the products integrate into vB.
To me it seems that I can now chose to either use a product with a lot of features and a not so good integration into vB or to use a product with a lot less features but better integration into vB.
As I have already bought PP I`d like to know if you plan to add the improved vB integration (profile) to this product.
For me it`s not so important if one product needs vB as a backbone or is a standalone product. That`s not what I mean with integration. What`s more important to me is the user-friendliness and the number of avoided gaps between the gallery and the forum.
thanks,
Sacha

| From my whole understanding of PP and vBGallery, that was always the intention. PP can run as a standalone app OR integrate with vb. vBGallery since it's beginning, was a photo gallery intended to integrate into vBulletin.
So, from my perspective, any software that is built for the sole purpose of integrating with another product is obviously going to have a much more seamless integration than something that can also run as a standalone app.

Thanks | I was talking with a colleague on import of album photos and export from gallery into album in beta stages of VB3.7.
We had ideas to allow users to import and export only their images, while mod / admin / other usergroup ** can have access to import and export from anywhere to anywhere. I have not worked the details yet.

Our flagship product, created in 2001, is PhotoPost Pro. It has undergone hundreds of dot releases since then and does offer a wide variety of vbulletin UI integrations. PhotoPost vBGallery is a totally separate product that we acquired in late 2005. vBGallery offers a tighter vb integration, such as templates and admin panel integration, but is a much less mature product overall than Pro.
So, the products are what they are and although there is a bit of a gap between the two products, PhotoPost remains the photo gallery leader, especially for vbulletin powered sites (powering over 12,000 sites). We are a small company, less than 10 people. We're not vbulletin. We will continue to update our products and improve them and we have made a large amount of progress over the years.

What is the correct update procedure?
Do I first upgrade vBulletin to V3.7.0, and after that upgrade vbGallery? Will this work?
After updating vBulletin from V3.6.8. to V3.7.0, will I be able to update vbGallery from V2.4.2 tot V2.4.3?

Okay - I found out. You have to change the user group permissions. They have been set to 'No'. Change it to Yes for each user group!.... |

| IE profile gallery pic not showing
I just upgraded to 2.4.3.
On the vbull profile page, I changed the setting to show a gallery image in the profile. This works in Firefox, but I am not seeing the gallery box in Internet explorer.
Is anyone else having this problem?
One thought that I should pass on, is that Vbull told me to update my ADV_GALLERY template, so I reverted this to the default. I'm guessing this has nothing to do with it, but just thought I'd throw that out there in case it does.
