Upgrade issue 2.4.3 - 3.0.1

Hello Chuck,

i got some Problems with upgrade to Vbgallery 3.0.1 (online site)
Upgrade from vb 3.8.3 - vb 4.1.3 PL3
Upgrade vbgallery from 2.4.3 - 3.0.1

White Page!

If i call the xxxforum.net/gallery/index.php i get a white page

If i call a Image like xxxxxforum.net/gallery/showimage.php?i=63214&catid=member&imageuser=1 i get a white Page

If i check in my Profile in the Forums, there is the Gallery tab with all the possibilities, I can view slideshows in my Forum profile page (but i cant click the slide pics because it forwards me to a WP) Same happens with the previews in my forum Profile Page.

I have triple checked if all files are in place, forumpath in gallery_config.php, in Admin settings for all the paths.

Tested with different styles (always same)

A week ago i have done the same Installation procedere (in a subfolder) on my testsite to see how it works (same datas, just now a week older database)
It was working fine and it wents through just have to activate the Gallery, that was all.

Do you have any suggestions for me.

Best regards, Markus

Have you actually done the upgrade procedure?

You upgrade your files sure except the config and then you run the vbgallery_install.php and select upgrade.

yes i have done the upgrade procedure.
Overwritten all existing files in forum + gallery folder, checked the date of those files to see if they are really overwritten.
config file edited for the relative forum path

started the vbgallery_install.php (no errors)
later on i believed on a Template problem, than i´ve tried this option: Reinstall the templates, phrases and plugins

But still no change, same as before...

well I would have to see your files etc.

Maybe you have a corrupt file? edited the config file incorrectly?

Your server error logs would give you a more detailed error than a white page. Also turning on display errors in php settings might help show what your issue is.

I would think bad path to forum in config or corrupt file personally.

when did you download the software?

I would suggest you redownload the software and upload the files. vbGallery is not compatible with the new ckeditor yet. We have patched the software to do basic commenting and I see no reference in our showimage.php to any such call to a function as you state.

It does work as I am using it as a test on my vb4

1st download was 2 weeks ago
2nd was 1 week ago

and just right now downloaded 3rd time, overwritten again all existing files - no change, same as before.

I am not using yet vb 4.1.4, first will see everything runs well on vb 4.1.3 PL3 without the new CKeditor.

so no success ...

I would like to run the upgrade script again, how is the best way for?
my DB is >2GB, so its no fun to handle with ;-)

i see now no other solution, i don't like to downgrade a big forum...

Br, markus

You can pass along site info through the contact us link for me to look at your site. something is not working right and I think my link clearly shows the software does work with the new vb.
