I would assume vbGallery would not be compatible with any new editor since no work has been done to integrate it.

Hi Chuck, can we expect an upgrade soon? Just saw Luc wasn't around here since some time, hope he is fine.

I am not sure what the status of Luciano is. The only active development right now is with PhotoPost Pro 8 series.

Yeah that is the product that is in development right now. I am sure we will look at it. Right now I am working on the templating and trying to handle the various integrations that use special templating like vbulletin 3.4 and xenforo. All that templating has to be updated so its alot of work. Michael is working on other features and such.

Once we get a beta worthy candidate ready we will release a beta for PP8. Once that product goes gold we can turn our time towards vbGallery once again.

All seems fine with the exception of the editor portion when you want to comment on an image, but I knew that was going to happen.

If you set your editor to the default editor do things work as expected?

Just upgraded to 4.1.4, seems to work fine except the comment box is just plain without buttons. But you can add comments. It's parsing bbcode too. If you want to check it out see the homepage in my profile.

Is there a quick hack to modify the PP Gallery to force it into plain text mode, basically ignoring CKeditor.

This would be a helpful (hopefully quick) temporary workaround.

I'm guessing forcing a bitfield in options somewhere

Edit: More like stuffing so values into $vbulletin->options['editormodes_array']

Maybe something like this bit of bad code in showimage.php
... to block CKeditor for the gallery.

Code:

Why do you need a hack? The CKEditor is not loaded and it is a plain basic editor.
