Fresh Install: SQL-Problem (packet-size)

Hello,
I tried a fresh install of vBGallery on a vbulletin 4.1.2 system.

While runing the install-script I get an error:

MySQL-Fehler : Got a packet bigger than 'max_allowed_packet' bytes
Fehler-Nr. : 1153
Fehler-Zeit : Saturday, 30.04.2011 18:29:34
Datum : Saturday, 30.04.2011 18:29:38

Current value of max_allowed_packet: 1048576

Which value do you recommend?

I would try something like maybe 8mb or 8388608
