| Misplaced Image on Forumhome
Dear Sir,
I have got profesional help here before, so I am here with a new issue, and hope to get some good help again.
I've upgraded my Gallery to vBGallery 3 and everythins seems to be working fine. But at my forumhome the random images are misplaced and I cannot find anywhere in settings to see where to set this option right. Here are some of the options from settings:
Main Index Page Options:
|-> New Images Location = Under Navbar
|-> Random Images Location = Above Statistics
... but as far as I am understanding of above, these settings are only for the Gallery Home Page and not for the Forumhome Page...
So please help me solving this issue.
For more convenience please see the attached.

Hello
In your vbGallery Admin under Manage Add-on section there is a setting for a header image block. You can administer the options there and see what suits your specific style.

Forumhome Thumbnail Title Length
If you wish you can truncate the length of the title displayed beneath the thumbnail. Enter the amount of characters to display. Note: Set to 0 to disable.
| Neither do this: Quote:
Thumbnail Caption Fields: Title Field Length (Cutoff)
How many characters of the image title should be displayed?
Example: This is a very long title
will become: This is a very lo... if the value is set to 20.

Okay well if there is no options to remove certain fields then you would need to modify the appropriate template to suit your needs. That is called code modification. There is no real support in that regard.

There is another method, if you know what you are doing.
As the text in the image you are showing is slightly cut off, I assume you are talking about the mainblock.
You have a setting there, called:
Activate Dynamic Content for Mainblock
this will determine the height of the shown block. (inside) it is set by default to something around 155 if your thumbnail size is 100 (leaving 55 pixels for the text)
Play around with it. set it to something like your thumbnailsize plus 5 and it should hide the text. (you might have to refresh the page twice before you see the change)

I have Photopost Pro installed and I am not seeing this Manage Add-on section. How do I add recent images to my vBulletin forum home page?

This is vbGallery support forum different product than Pro. I would suggest if you want Pro mods for vbulletin that you check out the PhotoPost Pro Mods forum.

Thank you for the lack of help. I am sorry people asking simple questions bother you. You might want to find a new line of work where stupid people asking stupid questions in the wrong place as I have bother you so much. I paid for the product and I will figure out the answer on my own.
Funny but I thought Pro was the better option and had more features. Apparently not. Buy Pro and get less... or maybe not since spending money has no meaning here except to tell me I am asking in the wrong place.
When I bought the product it was about as clear as mud as to what product was better or why. It appeared to me vbGallery was a lesser product than Pro. Was I wrong? Is Pro really the lessor product? Should I have bought vbGallery instead? If so, how was I to know?
Chuck, I paid money for a product and truly as a rather well versed person running a company network for over 20 years not all that computer illiterate. How about you help me instead of making me feel stupid for buying Photopost?

I simply stated you where posting about a totally different product and you could find what you want in a very specific mod forum.
Pro is not a lesser product nor is vbGallery they are totally different products. I can not say why you would be confused there is a wealth of information about the products right on our site under the details tab. PhotoPost PHP Photo Sharing Gallery - Product Details
There is a specific section which talks about Pro and vbGallery and has a complete comparison PhotoPost PHP Photo Sharing Photo Gallery: Pro vs. vBGallery
Your talking about actual plugins to vbulletin not so much core gallery features and code. vbGallery may have some forum plugins by default included because vbGallery is a vb addon only whereas Pro is a much more robust product.
Both gallery code is going to display in your gallery directory not the forum. Anything that displays outside your gallery I refer to as a forum plugin. You can achieve what you want by using the mod that I referred to to add functionality to your forum.
