Error when commenting

I upgraded vB to current version and then vBGallery to current version and now I'm getting error message when commenting photos. When I click to submit comment I get a Chrome browser error page saying: "Oops, This Link Appears to be Broken". The URL showing in the address bar is then:

http://###.com/showimage.php?i=9680&...36134&anchor=1

(I actually has my domain, not the hash tags).

However, when I go back and refresh the screen, my comment is there.

Any idea what is causing that and how to fix it? It was never a problem before.

Thanks!

If you set the option that your baseurl is off in vbulletin admin settings does this correct your issue?

Thanks, that fixed it. What's the benefit of having it on or off?

It is a new vb setting that forces relative urls to the forum url

we will be releasing a version that hard codes it off for our product soon regardless of the global option.

I know this is not a vBG question but what is the purpose of that vB feature? Does it mean that if there is a link in the forum and you move your forum to a different domain that the link still works?

no, it has for purpose to fix links if you use a new vbulletin feature where you can put blog and cms to different directories, like yourdomain.com for cms, yourdomain.com/forums for forums and yourdomain.com/blog for blog.
