Install Problems

I'm installing PhotoPost vBGallery v3.01 (for vBulletin 4.02+) in VB 4.1.1. I've followed this guide: PhotoPost vBGallery Photo Gallery for vBulletin Install Instructions

When I attempt to run the vbagallery_install.php nothing happens, it just refreshes the main page. My path is set correctly. The gallery/files is 777. The vba_install.php script is 755. The path is correct in the /gallery/gallery_config.php; $forumpath = '/home/dolan113/www/pawdogs.com';

My forum is not installed in a forum directory, it is installed in the root folder in the path shown above, is this hard coded somewhere that I need to change it?

Please let me know what I am doing wrong.

Thanks
Jamie

If you have uploaded all the files for your gallery under a directory say called gallery and then all the forums files in the download to your vb install then you edit the config file accordingly. Then you run the vbgallery_install.php file from your admin control panel you should see an install screen.

Did you upload all the files?

Yes, I did.

It looks to me like I got it all, do you see anything I am missing?

When I attempt to access the script, I just keep getting the main page:

Adding screen shot of config file:

Thanks,

Jamie

You need to be logged in for one as this is an administration thing. Your second screenshot shows you trying to run the install script not logged in

I see in screen 1 where you show your gallery directory. Did you upload the contents of the forums directory from our downloaded code into your webroot since that is where your forum is installed?

If I try and run that file I get the vb login box to log in as admin.

Yes, I've been logged in, I was just logged on when I switch to chrome and took that shot. jamiedolan is my admin account, same result, just refreshes:

This is what I have in the forums directory, in the download I got from you.

Yes, I uploaded this into the root, so admincp went into admincp, includes went into includes and modcp went into modcp.

This is what I should be running correct?

I tried it in another browser, not logged in and the pages just refreshes. I logged in as an administrator, and still the page just refreshes. I've tried this not just in my FF browser, but in the stable version of chrome and Opera with the same result of the screen just refreshing.

It's installed now. That's what I get for reading directions:

http://dolanhosting.net/jamiedolan/s...ts/screen6.jpg

I should have just looked at the files and figured it out.

Why are there different folders for the files and the ftp/flash upload? Is one just raw uploaded and the other is after they have been processed with Magick?

Thanks

Jamie

There are not different files versus regular or flash upload. Basically all files regardless of what way they are uploaded are uploaded to the users directory for each user. Once files are processed they are moved to there permanent location in the files directory. This all happens on the upload portion of the script.
