| Gallery broken since VB upgrade 4.1
Most of the pictures don't show the original pictures any longer and instead show this: Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
The thumbs are fine and so are the medium images.

Ok this is caused by the upgrade of VBulletin 4.1.0 PL2
The problem is that this version was issued because of a security risk so I really don't want to revert back... in fact I shouldn't have to.
Anyway if it helps I have tracked down where the problem is... but not what.
I think the problem is with the "class files" in Vbulletin> includes
I can't be any more specific than that.

I will ask Michael but since this just came out last night they are probally just beginning to see about supporting that code. Usually with vbGallery since its so tailored into vbulletin vbgallery may need to be altered and in some cases whole new versions released to support different vbulletin versions.
Do you have a url to share so I can see the source of the page.

you can log in with the details i last supplied on here and all of the images in the gallery do the same when you try to view the original image.
I understand about the time scale for new releases... I was asking about the problem time scale for reported problems two weeks ago?

The first order of business would be if you have any plugins other than vbgallery installed disable them and see if this issue is still happening.
The number one cause of issues are hack conflicts.

Chuck I have done this on a test site... PP is broken... As I said it has a lot to do with the class files in vbulletin> includes
The only other fix is to go back to version 4.0.8 but there are security risks and also you'll need to update sql.

Well apparently others running vbGallery are not having this issue which is why I meantioned plugins.
You can send through the contact us link above a link to your gallery with an admin login for someone to look at your issue.

I haven't seen that many others post on here and say that they are running 4.1.0 PL2 and have given it the thumbs up Chuck... so I can't comment.
If I post a url will someone suggest a fix as help around here is a bit thin on the ground... even you have to admit this.
I've got a lot of outstanding issues.

Steff as posted if you want someone to take a look you can send a url and admin login through the contact us link so all info is private. Thats the standard next process of support.
Are you saying you have absolutely no mods installed on your site?

I have the same problem on a new install of vbgallery where the large image doesn't show but the thumbs and medium images are fine. Strange because I have vbgallery running on another site with 4.1.0 pl 2 with no problems. So am going to see if it is a plugin that is conflicting with the gallery as Chuck mentioned.

Yep plugins are the issue 99% of most issues I would suspect that since it works fine on one site and not the other if both are using the same versions of the software.
Basically it can only be two things.
1. plugin conflict
2. setting conflict.
I have yet to really see a site with proper information to offer more than just my thoughts here.

Okay if thats what you want to do. Anyone who thinks they have an issue they want assistance with can freely send over a url admin login through the contact us link for someone at support to look into any issue if there is one. To date I have not seen anyone send info for us to look into any issue. I see no such issue with vbulletin 4.1 and vbGallery 3.0 and as such someone here would have to look at such a broken site and see what the cause might be. 99% of the time as users can attest to issues are using with plugin conflicts.
I know we offered before to offer such assistance in helping determine what your issue might be.

Ok this is still a problem and has not been resolved. I have other issues that have not been resolved either and most of them are coming up to a whole month without any kind of support from PhotoPost.
I now know that this problem with the image is related to another problem I reported earlier way back in November. This problem seems to be related to cookies and/or logins. Take a look at the thread posted November 19th where I'm basically told to live with the problem IE Cookies??
The reason why I'm getting the problem with the image is to do with logins. Once again as with most of the problems I've reported IE is logged out when requesting original sized images.
So I have two questions:
1 is there any support on PhotoPost any longer? (I mean real support not pet talk)
2 Can anyone actually help me as I believe that I am still a paying customer?

Steff, I don't want to take away from your need to get a fix, but am going on the assumption that more information is good. I freshly upgraded my very outdated vb 3.5 / vbgallery 1 system to vb 4.1pl2 and vbgallery 3 and I'm not experiencing any problems with it.
My gallery has over 19,000 user submitted images - NorthEastFoto Gallery |

convergent, thank you for your concern but I have several out standing support requests going back 8 weeks or more. Simply because your installation is fine means nothing at all. If it were that simple then there would be no need for support forums.
What I yearn for is a proper diagnostics from the support staff... but of late I seem to get more response from it's customers.

Steff
Your IE cookie thing the developer stated was an issue with the flash upload code. This is not directly our software we make. This is only an option we include and it can be turned on or off. We do not provide support for external software. If Michael finds anything that might help you he will post.
Now in this thread I have offered to help check things out a few times but you never responded. I have installed many vbgallery installs and upgrades on the new vb 4.1 over the last month and as other users have said here no one else has seen any issue such as this. You are the only one who has reported this. I would suspect this comes down to a plugin conflict but we would definately need more info to help you.
