Database errors trying to upgrade to vb4 and vbg3

I tried the steps I have listed here... Upgrade path from vb3 - 4

I got through the long process up upgrading vBulletin to the latest 4.0 without incident. Then I attempted the upgrade of vbGallery and it seems to have died.

I got the following error... then tried to rerun the install script to see if it would get further and it got worse... here's the original error I got:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Then I ran the install script again, picking upgrade again, and get this error:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
So what should I try next?

A little more information... I don't have a Gallery admin section in the forum/admincp... and, if I go to /gallery, it appears to be working and tells me that Product vbGallery is not active.

Any ideas on this? I'm kind of stuck on my whole upgrade process until I can come up with a resolution. Thanks.

What version have you tried upgrading from?

It would appear to me that maybe your version number is fowled up.

I'm coming from vBulletin 3.5.4 and vbGallery 1.0.2. I upgraded vBulletin to 3.8 first (based on vBulletin install instructions), and then upgraded to 4.x. Then I ran the upgrade for vbGallery. Looks like it got pretty far and then bombed. I did all of this in a test instance, by the way... my live site is untouched. I want to work out a set of steps that successfully upgrade it before doing it on the live site.

Thanks.

HMM

See I think it probally expected you to go from vbgallery 1 to the 2 series with vb 3.8 and upgrade and then go to vb4 and vbg3

I would have to see your site and database and see what shape your in.

Thanks Chuck... my live site is NorthEastFoto.com . I am going to try reseting my test site and rebuild based on your advice to see if I can get everything running at v3.8 vb and v2.51 vbg. If I can get to that point, I'll take a snapshot before moving on to v4 vb and v3 vbg. Does that sound like a plan?
