problem with cookies

Hello there,

I have a problem with the cookies' setting. The users log out the forum Suddenly, and when they try to move to another sub-domain, they have white page. I read this article:

Cookies and Login Problems!!

but I have already installed the software.

Do you have a way to correct the cookies without causing a problem?

Thank you,

Hello

vbgallery uses your forum cookie. Your cookies if set as instructed in the thread your looking at should cause no issues as that assists you in setting up cookies that work on subdomains which is what you want.

Hi,
I just ran into a user having similar problems, as a matter of fact he could not upload...
The problem was, the cookies were set to the www.domain, (www.domain.com),
he had a .htacces redirect, redirecting all domain.com to www.domain.com..
BUT
he had set the gallery url to domain.com instead of www.domain.com.

Result he was unable to post in vbgallery, (either images or comments) because as the domain got redirected, it did not have the $_POST info attached to it...

FIX: if you have such a redirect, make sure that the gallery url is set to www.domain.com also!

Or do as we have posted in the FAQ for years on cookies.

cookie path /

cookie domain .domain.com

That cookie is read across every subdomain on that domain name.
