I started having this problem. with registered users. As an admin I do not have this problem when I upload photos. I thought it was a permission issue but everything looks good.
When a registered user tries to upload a single photo to the gallery they get the following error. Quote: |
No Image specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator
| I have all my gallery directories all set to 777.
As I said the administrators can upload photos but the registered users can not.

Yes I have. I tried the users account and another test account I use.
My setting for using Flash uploader is turned off which means that is not the problem.

Thank you Chuck. I just sent you the info through support. I forgot to include the web site in the support request. It is Hammock Forums.

Have you verified permissions on the users and files folder to 777?
I will go search the support threads here to see if I can find anything

I have not heard anything from my support request yet. I hope it went through. Should I submit another one?

There was no other response to that email which only had server info we are talking here and I stated what I was doing above.
I found this but it takes along time sifting through No Images to Display
I am still searching on these forums to see if there is anything that would give some answers.

Also send ftp so I can look and see if the actual images are getting uploaded to the server.

The other url that you found was one of the troubles I was having but doing what I did fixed that problem, so I had thought.
Now with this current problem I am finding out that it is not all registered users having this problem. Some registered users can upload and others cannot.
I have resubmitted the trouble ticket with the ftp info and an explanation.

Yeah the problem is going to track down why certain users can and can not. Try to also find a regular user that can upload and include that info as well.
I need to try and go through and figure out what is going on that is different.

I did as you suggestion in the support ticket and turned safe_mode OFF and everything seems to be working now. Why would safe_mode ON effect certain user differently?

That easily explains your issue. Safe Mode prevents directories from being created. vbGallery has a safe mode switch which stores files in one directory for users that can upload but that does limit how many files one can have in there site doing so which is why I suggest always turning off safe mode. Safe Mode cripples any script that does uploading and directory creation.
