No Images to Display

When I try to upload a large image JPG, I am getting a “No Image to Display: when the upload seems to be done. I can upload smaller images.

I have tried changing my resize program to GD2 and ImageMagic and they both have the same results.

The larger file is 6,562 KB that will not upload is set below the limits I have.

I have my jpg file types set to
6.86 MB
Max width 1080
Max Height 1024

Could this have something to do with a file limit size set in PHP?

I just looked in my PHP and it is set to upload_max_filesize = 2M.
I will raise it to 15M and let you all know.

I edited my php.ini and made the changes. Then I restarted APACHE.

Now I am getting the following error:
Quote:
Server error
The website encountered an error while retrieving Myforums. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this webpage later.
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.

If your site went down after you edited php settings then I would think you maybe changed something incorrectly however yes you are in the right resolution for the issue. PHP max upload is 2mb by default and you would need to change it and restart the server.

I on changed these two setting

upload_tmp_dir = /tmp
upload_max_filesize = 15M

I restarted Apache.
Do I really have to restart the whole server after every edit of the php.ini? I was only told that I had to restart Apache.

Yes, I did. I increased php timeouts and that seems to have done the trick so far.

Okay glad you got it sorted did not hear much after you said the server went down so thought I would check it out.

Increasing the PHP max size is well documented here. Alot of people forget by default PHP is limited to 2mb file upload by default and since we are a php application we are limited by the PHP setup.
