Integration issues?? I installed VBulletin and then VBGallery. VBulletin: SECSportsman - Forums - Powered by vBulletin Gallery: SEC Sportsman Photos One main issue is, when in gallery all the links in the top menu i.e, User CP, FAQ, Community ..... are relative links. So when I clicked on Calendar from gallery it is not seeing the page. Where do I change this setting? Just go to SEC Sportsman Photos and click on Calendar you will see or clicking on Community will expand the menu and not give a dropdown. Another issue. When in forums home page the Random Images section has Image details under images, we want them like Gallery section where only image Title, User Name, Category, Date, Views, Replies are shown and not the rest. Please advise. |
Hello You would for issue number 1 enter any script names you wish to replacements on under the replacement portion on settings under navbar replacements. Number 2 I beleive you can elect in the addon settings what fields to show or not to show in that block. |
Navbar issue! In the, AdminCP => vBGallery => Modify Settings - Navbar Replacements I entered the list of filenames for navbar and prefixed with Forum's URL, it did not change anything. I deleted few files from the list there and still could see the files in navbar. I tried (to test if Navbar Replacements text box is working or actually interacting with the code) putting unrelated links but the links were all still pointing to, http://<URL name>/forums/gallery/<filename>.php instead http://<URL name>/forums/<filename>.php Gallery folder is installed inside the Forums folder. |
All you put is the actual filenames and the default vbgallery install already has the normal vbulletin filelinks in the navbar entered in the navbar replacement list like so memberlist.php usercp.php register.php faq.php calendar.php search.php login.php forumdisplay.php profile.php private.php subscription.php member.php online.php |
thankyou for your time. I am missing something! Please see that my forum is at: SECSportsman - Forums - Powered by vBulletin and the gallery is at: SEC Sportsman Photos Go to the forums and go to the gallery or go directly to the gallery and click on 'faq' or 'calendar' or anything in that menu, it will be going to broken link as it is trying to find faq.php in the folder 'gallery/' When I see the navbar files from admin->vbgallery->modify settings they are just like the list you sent. Did not change anything. And it does not link it right. I feel dumb for wasting your time on this. It sounds simple when you sent all the above notes. But go to the gallery link and you will see. I tried changing the paths to the faq.php to be the full path like SECSportsman - Forums - FAQ or even the relative links like '../faq.php' nothing works. It is as if navbar files in vbgallery modify settings got nothing to do with what is shown. Also Community, Search, Quick links do not have drop down like Forum in the gallery. When you click on any of those it expands the links horizontally and not vertically. May be all these are relating to the same issue. And then in vBGallery FORUMHOME enabling or disabling navbar is having any effect on the gallery. So is there a disconnect somewhere? Please advise! |
Are you running any other products or hacks on your vbulletin? |
no it is only vbulletin and photopost. I can give you the password for the admin if you let me, in a PM. |
You can send through the contact us link in the header sure |
Just sent the info. Let me know if any more info is needed. Thanks! |
Not a problem we will go check |
The issue was simple once I saw what you did. In vbulletin options not vbgallery you entered as the url to your forums this SEC Sportsman Photos Instead of correctly entering this SECSportsman - Forums - Powered by vBulletin |
Hello Chuck, Looks like you corrected the link in my admin. That made the drop down menues display right for Community and Calendar. Thanks! But please go to SEC Sportsman Photos and try to click on any links in the UserCP ... FAQ .... Calendar ... they are not working right. Might be something simple again for this. I am missing the point. |
Are those files added to the navbar replacement settings? Is the forum url added correctly in your vb options? |
