Are you sure all tables where copied over?

Looking at that query the only issue I see is the order by statement is blank. Check your gallery settings and make sure the sortby is not blank.

We made a complete database dump so all tables are copied over

See here is the issue as I see it

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
See how on this copied site your gallery options for sortby and sortdirection are empty. These settings are in your main settings in vbgallery admin.

Category Display Order
Here you may choose to order categories by either the display order specified with each category, or alphabetically.

Category Display Direction
The default direction that categories should appear in.

there is a selection in every setting of vbgallery (ascending, alphabetical, etc), and if I try to save the settings I get the second mysql error.

do you have a db query I can run?

UPDATE ppgal_settings SET value='displayorder' WHERE varname='gallery_catsorderby';

UPDATE ppgal_settings SET value='ASC' WHERE varname='gallery_catsdirection';

Those are default queries you should use to update those settings.

Well I would make sure all your options exist really.

Just go over things and make sure everything works. It seems to me maybe some settings and other stuff did not make it over when you where moving database tables etc into the new server.
