2.0 => 2.5 Upgrade Problems

I am trying to upgrade from PhotoPost vBGallery 2.0 to version 2.5 and get the error below.

I also ran this query and got the same result:
UPDATE vb3_adv_setting SET value = '2.0' WHERE varname = 'gallery_version';

Database error in vBulletin 3.8.2:

Invalid SQL:
DELETE FROM vb3_ppgal_settinggroup WHERE grouptitle = 'adv_global';

Try running this query in phpmyadmin and tell me if you run upgrade again your problems are solved.

UPDATE vb3_adv_setting SET value = '2.0.0' WHERE varname = 'gallery_version';

Right but have you tried that? Because the issue is you get that error because your database version in that varname is incorrect. Setting it back a version should allow proper table creation and continuation.

Thanks for the help

I ran the query and when I try to run the upgrade it says I'm running the current version.

I'm not though I have 2.0 running.

What is the version that appears in the database under that variable gallery_version now?

One other change is that in vbgallery_install.php try adding this line in bold where noted.

Code:

It shows 2.0.0

You tried running the upgrade?

Feel free to server login details and admin login url for us to look at this if you wish. There is no reason the upgrade script would not run if its the current upgrade script.
