Litany of errors,

Vbgallery 2.4.3

Fatal errors:

Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.

Also, when a user adds a category the gallery index is no longer accessible.

Aslo ... NONE of the links in the gallery navbar work, each one when tried brings back the fatal error listed above.

I had issue after issue with Photopost Pro, then decided to uninstall and try Vbgallery instead .. After paying for the license I'd really like to be able to use ONE of them in a working state.

Any idea what my issues are .. other than my obvious lack of patience ?

It would be interesting to know:

- What Version of PHP you have

- What Version of Vbulletin...

- Some bugs were fixed in 2.5 beta.. ( but its not this issue)

you should not get the error on category index, because it is caused in the category dropdown. (its the amound of dashes in front of the category name)

it seems to me, that somehow your version of php does not support a negative value for str_repeat. ( dont ask me why)

try what is said here :
http://www.photopost.com/forum/1164880-post5.html

if this does not work, do following.. open
forums/includes/functions_gallery.php
At line 806 find:
Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.
replace with:
Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.

strange, that i have not heard of this error since version 2.00

Thanks for the info.

Screw it .. I uninstalled and zapped it from my server, I'll start from scratch, once again.

If this was an upgrade where all upgrades ran and or all files uploaded.

Nope does not apply as this is a fresh install.

Also, just now I deleted all files and went to 2.5 Beta.

Still get the errors.

On a fresh install with default category descriptors it works fine, but as soon as I add a user category I get the error in post # 1.

So fresh install, no changes to default settings, I see this when I navigate to gallery index.

Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.

Then I attempt to add a user cat

Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.

Then I navigate back to the gallery home page.
As you can see all cat descriptors are missing, also if I attempt to use any of the drop down nav links I get the error in post #1.

Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.

I get the above error as well.

I'm at a loss.

swollencranium April 13th, 2009 04:11 PM

ok?

A day later, still have the errors.

Any support would be appreciated.

Feel free to actually provide real site data test logins to the contact us link in the site header if you wish us to look at it.

I know in my testing of a fresh install there are no such issues as this. As luciano points out this seems very odd.

Yeah, odd or not, it happened.

I don't know what 'real site data' means in the context you present it.

Forget about it .. I'll unscrew it myself or uninstall and not use it.

I was not TELLING you anything.

I was ASKING.

Anyway, thanks but I'll give it a go trying to fix it alone.

My apologies if I have been misinterpreted as being overbearing and obnoxious, that certainly was not my intention.

Chuck S April 14th, 2009 09:25 AM

I seriously think you get the wrong impression here as no one has called you obnoxious etc. ;)'

What everyone has said is if you wish to obtain support you must post pertinent information about your site here or through the contact us link. Basically no one here is able to produce this error all installs we see work fine. Therefore we need to diagnose your site and see what we see.

I would personally use Pro over vbGallery but thats me. You note you have errors with that script well posting very detailed issues with exact site links and test logins is always the best way to go. Now admin details and further details like ftp if things like that are needed can be send through the site contact us link which is more private.

this is old post but i got the same error like the first poster...where should i do to fix this error?

any official contact from photopost that i can use to inform the error?

Cheers!

Chuck S February 17th, 2010 03:54 PM

My suggestion is you open a support topic about your issue and include pertinent information for support to assist you

Include a site url and test user login and what your error is etc.

Zurrie February 17th, 2010 04:01 PM

hello Chuck,

i will not post my url in this public room, but i will post to any staff if they want to help my issue for sure.

Cheers!

Chuck S February 17th, 2010 04:05 PM

Zurrie February 17th, 2010 04:13 PM

Chuck S February 17th, 2010 04:44 PM
