upgrading to 2.5 You are already running the current version of PhotoPost vBGallery

All files uploaded and selected upgrade and get:
You are already running the current version of PhotoPost vBGallery Photopost vBGallery.

Okay if you go into your upload options in vbgallery do you see the switch for the flash uploader? If so then everything is fine.

It seems that the product wasn't installed, the template ADV_GALLERY_UPLOAD_FLASH for example wasn't created and the product xml is showing <description>PhotoPost vBGallery 2.4.3</description> no wonder it's not upgrading right?
I try to change it to 2.5 and let you know what's happening.

Allright, was still showing "You are already running the current version of PhotoPost vBGallery Photopost vBGallery."
So I installed over the product importer and was successful.

This is the exact same problem I am having. I reupped my subscription so I could grab the new version and now it won't upgrade.

If I have to reinstall will it wipe the previous several years of work?

You dont reinstall you upgrade.

I have physically myself checked out quite a few in the past couple weeks.

If you go into your vbgallery settings do you see a switch for the flash upload?

I see that option, but I never ran the script.

Was that option added with the ftp file upload?

Also, now when anyone leaves a quickreply on any photo it is translated into a "0", breaking the whole comment system. I remember this happening once before on an upload but I forget what fixed it.

EDIT: Found the fix for this here

That option means the upgrade ran. So you should be operational as thats the only query ran besides upgrading the version number.

It is fixed in 2.43 download which I did and I emailed Michael but looks like he used an older 2.43 build.

All you should need to do is run the install script and select upgrade. You can then select reinstall plugins templates and you should be fine.
