Can't see the gallery in my FORUMHOME. Hello, I've enable the options "Enable to show images on your FORUMHOME." and under my Usergroup permissions i've also enable the option "Can view FORUMHOME block" Still can't see the gallery in my FORUMHOME. I have a clean installation of vBulletin 3.8.1 and a clean installation of vGallery 2.4.3. No mods and no styles. Anyone can help me? Thanks MArco |
Have you tried all locations? under navbar.. etc.. there could have been a template change in forum home for 3.81 As I dont use that feature i really dont know. BUT If you use custom location your HAVE to edit template. ----------- It only works if you actually have validated images.. (You said: fresh install) Sometimes on fresh install.. images are not validated automatically setting in userpermissions validate this users images.. means that you have to validate them by hand. As admin you still can see them.. but they are not validated.. so they wont show on forum home. (if you change this setting you still have to validate allready uploaded images. Only new images after you changed the setting will be validated automatically) Thats my 2 cents Luc |
Hey Luciano, Thanks for all the help. At the end, i've tried all the options for that function and realize that my "Limit Categories" option was blank. I thought by default it would mean all if nothing selected...my mistake... Now, it perfectly integrates with my board... |
Well as long as u are happy :D But it should be able to be blank... i never touched that.. and i remember on tests that it worked... There could be another problem.. in your category configuration.. I just tested it without Limit Categories and it works also.. I have no member categories try following. Create another normal user. Make sure that other user can see images when browsing gallery.. not only the thumbnails but also the big images. Then check if he can see forum home block. Luc PS: But if it works... ntrs (Never touch a running System) :p |
PS: But if it works... ntrs (Never touch a running System) LOL Amen to that. Glad to see you up and running Marco |
You're right. It should work without Limit Categories. I've try playing with all the options in my category configuration and now it works without Limit Categories. I guess this is part of being a vBGallery newbie... hopefully this will help other new users along the way Thanks guys. |
Yeah sometimes configuration issues get the best of users glad to assist. |
