Problems with 2.4.3 and user manager.

There seems to be an issue on one of our sites where something is breaking in the integration. A user becomes uneditable in the admincp unless I disable a plugin from vbgallery.

The ppgal_user table never seems to get the users ID, so when I do an insert query like this:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
It fixes the issue, but we have to do this often. Not sure if it is every user, but it seems to be quite a few.

Any ideas?

Please try downloading the code and reupload all the core files especially those under forums/includes and test again I seem to have no issues editing users.

I have done that. It does not happen with every user. It is always with new registrants, but not every new registrant.

I did test a new registrant and worked fine.

I would suggest if your running the new files then under vbgallery maintenance try updating user counts etc and then do you testing.

I am sure you did. I am not saying all of the registrants are causing errors, so by you testing ONE registration means nothing. There is a condition, I am assuming during the registration process where the userid is not getting entered into the ppgal_user table.

Will try the counts tonight.

I have tried several users and have not gotten an error which is why I suggested reuploading the files and doing the counts.

Reuploaded files, ran counters, fixed the existing users, however, some users are still ending up in the same boat, and we have to run counters again..

Interesting I register users in admin panel or front end and get no errors

How are you getting the issue?

Well to our knowledge any issues have been resolved that have been reported. I am merely trying to get the exact steps you do to replicate the issue. I have done registration both ways and am not getting any issues.

That is why I asked how you get the error. You did redownload the build and reupload all the files right?

We do not DO anything to get it to happen, it just happens every once in a while when a new user registers. To date, I cannot find anything similar amongst the users that this happens to. They come from different IP ranges, different email services and all types of user names.

Is there something they could enter into the registration (i.e. password) that would be valid for VB but not for PP?

It seems to happen during registration somewhere along the line, I assume whenever they are added to the PP user database.

Okay have you tried registering a user the regular way and admin panel do you get errors. This is how I tested things before I posted here.

We have tried a number of things, and now it is happening on another forum. Could we get someone to actually LOOK at the problem?

Okay beleive this one is resolved as well

In useradmin_update_data.php the query here has a ' in the wrong place so your user table prefix was looking like this forums_'user' not 'forums_user'

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
