Opening the program errors

Long night last night. So far i have tried all of the things posted by others with the same issues. When opening up the page to the album I have had all of the same errors even with changing the config file and the settings in the CP. I was able to duplicate the same errors as others, several different ones as changes were made. But so far I have not been able to get the album to open.
I left it last night with this error:

The requested URL /public_html/forum/gallery/ was not found on this server.

I also have vbadvanced installed. Could this be causing issues? One last thing is in the instructions there were 2 optional changes to make to the files but I have not done those yet. Do those have to be made for this to operate properly? There is no explanitation as to why anyone would have to make those changes.
Any suggestions would be great.

The message board location:

The Drivers Stand

The gallery is turned off.

The location the gallery folder is located on the server:

/home/goldr/public_html/forum

What I have for full path in gallery_config.php file in the gallery folder:

/home/goldr/public_html/forum/index.php

The folder "gallery" was CHMOD to 777.

In the "Global PhotoPost vBGallery Settings"

Gallery title photopost vbgallery

Gallery URL http://www.thedriversstand.com/forum/gallery/index.php

Files path /home/goldr/public_html/forum/gallery/files

Files URL www.thedriversstand.com/forum/gallery/files

I am not that good with this stuff but I try. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Have you placed the proper forum server path in the gallery_config.php file?

the path then is incorrect. it needs to be what I posted. it is the server path to the forum not the index.php

As the previous poster explained I think your confusing server paths and urls.

I set it as requested but still not working.

I checked all files on the server and everything is in place except these.

- forums\admincp
product-ppvbgallery.xml not there. I deleted
vba_gallery_admin.php there
vbgallery_install.php not there. I deleted
Both were deleted after having problems loading the gallery page.

The file below is in the right location but it has a different name.
- forums\includes

class_profileblock_vbgallery.php not there but has same without _vbgallery.php

Should any of these be uploaded back?

The error you have is pretty specific

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
That error suggests to me your gallery config file does not have the correct server path to the forum directory so we can find the global.php forum file.

I did a re-upload of the config file and the board opened up. Now to test things out to see If there are any more problems. LOL

Should any of the posts above be edited out or deleted?

Thanks very much for your help.

Nope everything is fine here so users can see the proper answer was indeed placing the proper server path to the forum in the config of the gallery. These forums are here to assist others and as a tutorial.
