A lot of images cannot be found and no thumbs

When I go to rebuild image sizes, I get a lot of this:

Quote:

getimagesize(/home/mysite/public_html/gallery/files/20348-img_2380_703660.jpg) [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in [path]/admincp/vba_gallery_admin.php on line 1992
When I scan the database, it shows 2100+ files missing, when physically, they are there on the file system. Perms are 777 and ownership is correct.

When you go to the gallery home, all images that do show are full size instead of thumbnails.

HELP!

Please post both paths in the statement above and actually links to show what you mean. Possibly it looks to me also like your using the safe mode restriction is that correct? Does your server actually have safe mode on?

Here is a link to PHP Info for this server. It does not look like Safe Mode is on.

Where do I find the option to check if my system is using using the safe mode restriction?

Attached are two screen shots. The first is file on server.gif which shows you the directory information where the file actually exists. It also shows you the server path to the files directory. The second is scan database.gif which shows the output of the Scan Database function.

When I click on this entry in the attached images it takes me to this page:
Touareg Accident - Club Touareg Photo Gallery

As you can see the image is not showing up. When I try to access the image directly from the server I get a 404 error. Here is the link:
http://www.clubtouareg.com/gallery/f...cedint_001.jpg

So for some reason it seems like the server is not able to see the files even thought they are there. I checked the rights and owner of the file and it all seems proper.

Any suggestions on what could be causing this issue?

I would suggest under vbgallery maintenance in admin menu vbgallery section try making sure you set down the bottom the switch to where safe mode storage is off.

Thanks for your help Chuck.

We ended up finding the issue. Somehow some of the files were actually missing and we had to pull them from a backup. Also, we had some files that were actually on the server but did not exist in the database so it was making it hard to figure out what was going on.

Oh yes that can kill tons of things ;)
