Reported File From - Users that do not exist...

Hi,

I keep receiving emails from my vbGallery system stating that there are users reporting bad files. The problem is, is that these users who are reporting these errors do not exist....

Here is an example:

This is the reason that the user gave:

It sounds like you have it set so guests can report images. That being the case, I believe they enter their own values for fields that would typically be populated from the database. I am not 100% certain, but it does make sense.

it totally makes sense, but do you know where this setting is? I would think that this would be under Usergroup Permissions, but I can't seem to find it there...

There is no setting, I just looked. I will be back in a moment with a way to prevent this though. I just need to find something.

In your ADV_GALLERY_SHOWIMAGE template, we are going to use a template conditional to block guests from using that.

In the acp choose Style and Templates, Style manager, Choose the style to edit and click the <<>>, Double Click: PhotPost vBGallery Templates, Double click: ADV_GALLERY_SHOWIMAGE

In ADV_GALLERY_SHOWIMAGE find:

Content visible to verified customers only.

REPLACE WITH:

Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.

Instead of reporting images and spamming you, they can click the register template and join the site. lol

If you don't want to show the register link, change it to whatever you want to show them there. The register link seems most appropriate since real guests may look in there and they can then join.
