wrong path to forum after installing I installed the vbgallery 2.3 to the latest VBulletin and after installing, all my forum links are pointing to a wrong path. they point to www.mydomain.net/gallery/index.php instead of www.mydomain/net/index.php. So the Vbulletin thinks, my forum is in the gaelly-folder!! Why does this happen and what can I do to repair this?? *edit* ok I noticed that I have to fill in the navbar and header replacements.. But I don't like this. I use a VB CMS and Portal System and this doesn't work with replacements.. Is there a way to avoid this so that the gallery stays in the same folder?? |
mmhhh very good support in here - for 109$ :-/ other similar products don't have those problems ( suppose they use som kind of internal rewrite engine..) So I am still looking for a solution.. |
Hi missed the thread :). - there is a rewrite built into the gallery, the cache may not have updated. AdminCP => vbGallery => Modify Settings - Header Replacements - Navbar Replacements - Footer Replacements Here you may enter a list of filenames that should be prefixed with your Forum's URL. Then down to the bottom of the page and save. |
hi Zachariah! I did understand, but I don't find it usefull to fill in all the filenames, especially if a forum has many other add ons.. Ever thought of an automatic rewrite option like the one photoplog uses?? |
OK, my forum is located at www.mysite.com/forum and my gallery is at www.mysite.com/gallery. The links are all pointing to www.mysite.com/gallery/whatever.php instead of www.mysite.com/forum/php and will not allow users to nagivate with the Navigation menu within the template. I am using vBulletin 3.6 and the latest and greatest photopost vbgallery. Will the above method resolve my issue? Also, what should I added to fix this? I don't really understand the above instructions. Thank you all for your help. |

AdminCP => vbGallery => Modify Settings Header Replacements Here you may enter a list of filenames that may appear in your header that should be prefixed with your Forum's URL. Navbar Replacements Here you may enter a list of filenames that should be prefixed with your Forum's URL. Footer Replacements Here you may enter a list of filenames that may appear in your footer that should be prefixed with your Forum's URL. EX: A Standard vBulletin Navigation. Code: Content visible to verified customers only./forums/blog.php - <a href="blog.php">Blog</a> In the "Navbar Replacements" you would add the php file: blog.php to the list of file names. This will add the forums URL in front of the link while looking at the gallery. In some custom skins they move the standard Navagation to the "header" template. In this case you would add to the "Header Replacements". |
