Smilies and Pictures Missing After Upgrade
 

I thought it was a successful upgrade to 3.6.8 but not. I have tired uninstalling, re-installing and updateing with no improvement.


Pictures were not found. Maintenance claims they are not in the database but they are. For example /1/8/3/060119_jellyfish.jpg was not found. But when I click on the item not in the database the picture is there at http://xx.xxxx.xxxx.xxx.ca:16080/bbs..._jellyfish.jpg. There are 1504 pictures not found in the database.


Smilies are also not found (should be 157)

Before you did the upgrade what versions of vBulletin and vBGallery did you have on the server?

If you uninstalled the gallery the data is gone. There is a few things you can do.

1) Restore the database from a backup before the upgrade. If your photos are still there excellent :), if not upload your photos from backup.

2) Install a new gallery and mass upload your photos via FTP option back into the gallery.

Not sure what you mean by the data is gone.

The pictures are still there.

If you uninstalled the gallery the database entries "data" for images and categories are removed. This means that the links to the file locations of the uploaded media are not there.
