| Big problems upgrading to 2.3
We moved to a new server and upgraded from vb 3.6 to 3.6.8 and also upgraded vb gallery to 2.3.
When trying to access the gallery homepage we get a "you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:" error message. No images or categories are showing, needless to say.
Also, in the admin control panel none of the previous categories are showing up, or images. It's almost like it's not connecting to the database, or the upgrade did not complete. It says we're using 2.3 and the upgrade did work however.
We also get the error "Fatal error: Only variables can be passed by reference in /home/mydomain/public_html/forum/admincp/vba_gallery_admin.php on line 345", when in the admin cp and try to edit user permissions.
Can someone please help ASAP?

There are a few things you need to update.
In a server move the PATH's of the file / folder locations will need to be updated.
FTP:
gallery/gallery_config.php Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
[save] and upload.
==============================
Log into your vBulletin AdminCP.
AdminCP => vBGallery => Modify Settings
- Title, URL's, & Paths
-- Files Path
-- FTP User Folder Path
Make sure you also CHMOD 777 those 2 locations on your server to allow uploads.

Thanks for your reply. I did everything you said and it's still not working correctly. Can I PM you login details, so you can take a look? I'd appreciate it!

This had old server values.
The upgrade stopped. Why, I am unsure of yet.
I wiped out the changes made and started the upgrade over.

One more thing, users are complaining that they cannot upload images. They get a "No Image specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator" error message. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Also to note, I can upload images fine, with the administrator username, just not users. The user permissions seem to be set correctly.

Use a file manager or ftp program and CHMOD 777 -R (recursive / all sub-folders) your Files Path.
- There may be sub-folders that are not 777
