move pics to new installation

I'm setting up an updated forum, I've installed vb3.64 and vbg 2.1, so there is no downtime I'm installing everything on another server the when it's working ok I will move it all across, the only problem I have is how to move the pictures from the old servers gallery to the new one? is there any way of importing them? I don't want to use the old database as I want a clean install of everything, any help would be welcome

Do you want the data of the gallery imported (images, posts, categories) ?

Do you want to just save the photos and do a mass upload via FTP into new categories you make ?

- When you mass upload you can choose what user uploaded the photos and the gallery will assign rights to those images to that user as if they uploaded it.

What did you have in mind ?

---------------------------------------
On my site
"Categories: 64, Images: 1,674, Posts: 71"

It would be a pain to upload and remake all of the categories.
It's a lot simpler to export data and import to the new gallery.
I do not have a script to do that yet.
I will see about starting on one.

What is your experience with phpMyadmin and import / export data from tables ?

It be would be nice to have all the pics, users names, comments etc move across, but if I can just save the pics, preferably keeping them in the right categorys that would be good

I'm ok with it, not always sure about the proper syntax for strings
