Exclamation Get support??? Bugs / Issues to Report!

First,
When I just bought vbGallery last week because it looked like it would have everything I need. Here are the issues I am facing.

1) When I go to the Members area the download says the version is 1.0.3, yet shouldn't it be 2.0? The file I downloaded and had installed on my server is version 2.0 but I'm wondering why that doesn't show up in my Members area should I need to download it again.

2) Search page is blank despite making the edits Zachariah stated to make in another thread. I have attached a copy of my modified search.php file as a text file to another thread in the Beta section.

3) Uploads are not working right. On large dimension photos (3000x3000 for example) even if the file size is small (600kb) the upload fails with a blank page where IE7 is telling me I've lost connection to the internet, I'm not getting an error report back.

Is there a phone number for support or assistance or should I just do what I'm doing now, post a topic and hope for the best?

Hello, Ken. You can get support for your product by posting in the respective forum for your needs - i.e. Bugs or Installation - that corresponds to your version (and vB version).

There is no phone support; you can use these forums to get answers for your questions.

Now with regard to the upload would you mind visiting my forum at http://www.caymanclub.net and go into the gallery and try to upload an image that has a file size of say 600-800kb and see what happens to you then? I don't know how else to show you that it isn't working.

After the upload is done the page flashes as if it were going to process the image but it just goes to done.

What are you using to process images ?
- GD / Image Magik ?

- what are these values on your server ?
PHP Max Post Size
PHP Maximum Upload

My ISP tech installed GD for processing images. As far as the PHP Max Post Size or PHP Maximum Upload I don't know. As I understand it, that's in the PHP.ini file, if you tell me where that is kept on the server I could ftp or ssh in and try to find it and look it up or change it if needed. I'm new the Linux/Apache/PHP/MySQL world so forgive what is probably an obvious question.

Try switching from GD to Imagemagick. I had a similar problem with vBulletin attachments until I switched over. I opened a vBulletin ticket which resulted in their "working" on the GD issue for the next release.

I looked up my PHP settings and they are :

Max Upload - 2M
Max Post Size is - 8M
Memory Limit - 8M

Pretty much whatever the pHp defaults are.

I've asked my ISP to look into installing IMageMagick for me as an alternative.
