Upgrade

I upgraded to 3.6.1 and tried to re-upgrade vbgallery

I went to adminxpanel/vbagallery_install.php and selected "upgrade". It asked me to login to the admin panel. I login, it says "ok" and then asks me to login again. mean while I've been logged in anyway.

What should I do? I have re-uploaded all files already.

When I attempt to go to the gallery itself, it shows

"Chad, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:...."

On top I also see...

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /gallery/gallery_global.php on line 209

VB 3.5 to 3.6.1 ?
- If so there is a vBGallery 2.0 Beta2 that is needed.

vBgallery 1.x is for VB 3.5x

chadi September 15th, 2006 12:24 PM

I never said I was upgrading from 3.6 I said I upgraded to 3.6.1

It was from 3.5.4 (hence this forum is for 3.5x)

kevnj September 15th, 2006 01:07 PM

And he is saying that if you upgraded from 3.5.x that you will need to upgrade to vbgallery beta 2 for it to work.

vb galler 1.x is for all version of vb 3.5.x which you are no longer running.

sign into the member area and download the beta 2 version.

chadi September 15th, 2006 01:11 PM

I DID upgrade to 2.0 and that is the error I got. I do not know why you assume I was using 1.x I never mentioned that

I hit submit for "upgrade" and it prompts me to login my admin panel with this:

"To continue this action, login using the admin account that intiated the action."

chadi September 15th, 2006 01:21 PM

I uploade 2.0 files correctly and the install script still shows

Welcome to PhotoPost vBGallery Photopost vBGallery version 1.0.3.

Even after clearing cache/cookies

chadi September 15th, 2006 02:52 PM

I really would appreciate help on this

Zachariah September 15th, 2006 05:17 PM

vbagallery_install.php is for the old 1.0.3 gallery

vbgallery_install.php is for 2.0

Once you have finished please remove vbgallery_install.php, vbagallery_install.php, product-ppvbgallery.xml in the forums/admincp folder.

chadi September 15th, 2006 05:36 PM

Thak you for pointing that out. Gallery works now but some issues

1. Clicking forum logo takes you to gallery home page instead of forum home page
2. Clicking user profile shows this error...

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/chadi/public_html/includes/functions_gallery.php on line 1107

I disabled the two plugins for "vBa Gallery Uploads in Profile" and it works. What would be the fix for that?

Thank you

Logo is in your header ?

vBGallery => Modify Settings => Header Replacements
Here you may enter a list of filenames that may appear in your header that should be prefixed with your Forum's URL.

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/chadi/public_html/includes/functions_gallery.php on line 1107
This is caused by the need of a file edit to make that hack show up.
- When you did a forums update that file may have been replaced; hence the edit will no longer be there.

If the edit is done below there is no need to do other file edits to call datastore $specialtemplate or $phrasegroup for any other vBgallery hacks.

** functions_gallery_store.php - is a file that is in the main vBGallery download.

- Edit:
forums/includes/init.php

- Find:
Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.
- Below Add:
Code:

Let me know :)

I edited that init.php file and still get this error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/chadi/public_html/includes/functions_gallery.php on line 1107

This is the plug/mod I'm referring to;
http://www.photopost.com/forum/showthread.php?t=119508

I had already edited that file after the uprade and removed/re-uploaded the plug (xml). Same error

PS: gallery logo now works thanks
