How to transfer

My site crashed. Didnt have a current database back up. So Im going to start my community over. I have those posts and thread but the members will have to sign up again.

How can I transfer all 12,000+ images to work with the new database easily?

Without a backup of your users table there is no way to do this since the all the users and there userid's will not correspond to your new install

Im the only one that uploads into the gallery. So as long as I am userid 1. How can I go about this? Or will it still not work ?

after i installed vbgallery for 3.6 onto the new forums with the new database... can i just transfer the image folder into the new place

im not worried about the comments being correct with the old usernames.

i would just like to not have to upload 12000 images again.. .and not lose the comments on them as well as the "views" and such

You can try inserting the image table inserts into the database and yes copying over the files directory to the new install

I assume doing the tables will keep the catagories labeled and the correct pictures in each catagory ?

You need to use something like phpmyadmin and insert the old rows into the proper tables

What do you have so far ?
- If you have a database backup and files inplace you can simply import the records and the images should show up.

If you have no database backup and only the images you will need mass FTP import the images into new categories. If you know usernames that posted groups of images you can import as that username as well.

i have the database but it deleted all the members. i can still view the old forum, i just cant access the admin. and since i had permissions on the gallery i cant view the gallery. i have all the pictures on the server still. all the images 12,000+ were all upload by me and only me, into some 100 different catagories.
