The size is actually both. For example, if you enter "100" then the script will use "100x100" for the thumbnail height & width. If you enter "75" then it'll be "75x75" and so on.

Actually, it would be cool if the thumbnails where all the same size - height and width, but they are not - if I upload a portrait image and then rotate to landscape, the thumb on the portrait image would be higher.

The only way all of the thumbnails would come out the same size is if all of the original images are the same size. Because the thumbnails keep the perspectives of the original image they will be resized to the max height and width in the control panel. That way your thumbnails aren't a distorted version of the original image.

I understand that, but can´t I change the way it works, so if I set the max to 150 pixels, both portrait and landscape thumbs are 150 pixels ? Is it is now, they landscape thumbs are lower than 150, since VBGallery will choose the 150 pixels for the width, and not the heigth as I would like.

Get my point?

I know I´m picky, but it would improve the look, since all rows would have the same heigth.

Alpha,

I understand your goal as I went through it myself on my main site. Because the thumbnail keeps the perspective of the original image it all depends on the dimensions of the image that you're uploading. A tall image (height is greater than it's height) will result in a thumbnail that is 150px high but will be less than 150px for it's width while a wide image (width is greater than it's height) will result in a thumbnail that is 150px wide but will be less than 150px for it's height.

Without breaking the perspective being maintained there really is no way of making every thumbnail the same size for every uploaded image.
